About Tasigna®

Tasigna Mechanism of Action

Tasigna is a next generation Bcr-Abl inhibitor for Ph+ CML. Tasigna was specifically designed to be a highly selective inhibitor of Bcr-Abl, the key cause and driver of Ph+ CML, and its mutations.
This animation shows how Tasigna binds Bcr-Abl with greater selectivity than imatinib, in vitro, and remains tightly bound to Bcr-Abl, causing inhibition of kinase activity and death of leukemic cells.
