PH+ CML Information
Ph+ CML: Intolerance
Adult patients with Ph+ CML in chronic or accelerated phase who experience Grades 3/4 adverse events (AEs) while taking imatinib mesylate or other therapies may be candidates for Tasigna® (nilotinib) treatment. Additionally, treatment with Tasigna should be considered for patients with Grade 2 AEs that persist for at least 1 month despite optimal supportive care.
The potential for non-compliance in patients with bothersome AEs should be considered when deciding whether to switch therapy.
In clinical trials, Tasigna had a negligible incidence of cross-intolerance with Glivec® as well as a high median dose intensity.
